jamuna share market news: Stocks finished the week on Thursday maintaining upward trend with rising participation of investors.
The trade value at DSE increased to Tk 1,333.15 crore from the last week Tk 1,062.76 crore, up by Tk 279.54 crore or 26.53 percent.
On Thursday, the broader DSEX of DSE finished the day 0.51 points or 0.0090 percent down at 5,625.33 from the previous day's 5,625. Of the two selective indices - DS30 finished the session 7.74 points or 0.13 percent up to close 2036.20 points while DSES dropped by 3.66 points or 0.28 percent to close at 1309.48 points.
Out of the 328 traded securities, 126 closed higher against 164 losing issues when 38 remained unchanged.
The day's major gainers were IPDC, GSP Finance, Al-Hajtex, Union Capital, Global Insurance, Asia Pacific Insurance and Lankabangla Finance.
The major losers included RN Spinning, Dutch-Bangla Bank, ICB1st NRB, First Prime Finance Mutual Fund, BIFC and Trust Bank.
On the port city, bourse-Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also closed the session down up, with its major CSCX index ending 2.26 points fall at 10564.18.
At CSE, 255 issues traded while 87 closed higher against 135 losing issues while 33 remained unchanged.
