Sautéed mushrooms, tomatoes and jalapenos served with toasted bread slices have an amazing aroma and flavour that can make anyone’s day. This easy recipe is also ideal for your kid’s lunch box and picnics.
1 tablespoon virgin olive oil
2 chopped,de seeded jalapeno
1 chopped tomato
1 pinch coriander powder
8 toasted bread slices
1 finely chopped onion
250 gm washed & dried,sliced mushroom button
1 pinch chilli powder
1 pinch cumin powder
1 pinch salt
How to make Mushroom and Tomato Toast
*Heat oil in a large pan. Add onions and jalapeno. Saute for 3 to 4 minutes, until the onion is soft and translucent. Add the mushrooms and tomato.
*Cook till the mushrooms are soft. Add the chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and salt. Saute for a minute or two.
*Spread the mushroom-tomato mixture on 4 slices of toasted bread. Cover with the remaining 4 slices. Cut into triangles and serve with ketchup.
